PUBLIC Works Secretary Vince Dizon ordered the perpetual blacklisting of contractors Wawao Builders and SYMS Construction Trading following the discovery of ghost flood control projects in Bulacan province, Malacañang said Thursday.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Wawao Builders was the contractor for the P96.5-million ghost project in Bulacan while SYMS Construction Trading was the contractor for the P55-million ghost projects in the same province.
Catro said the two faced criminal charges as well.
“This move by the DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways) is in line with the call of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for swift action, filing of charges and holding accountable those behind the anomalous projects,” she added., This news data comes from:http://trp-hqaw-llx-gcs.ycyzqzxyh.com
Meanwhile, Dizon inspected the flood control project in Barangay Sipat, Plaridel, Bulacan, saying that all contractors of ghost flood control projects must face an “automatic perpetual ban” from the DPWH.
Aside from this, Dizon said that he would recommend filing charges against the two construction firms with the Department of Justice.
Wawao Builders is one of the top 15 contractors that Marcos previously revealed to have bagged major flood control projects from July 2022 to May 2025.
Wawao Builders’ general manager, Mark Allan Arevalo, recently attended the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on anomalies in flood control projects.

Despite being asked by senators if his firm had ghost control projects, he neither confirmed nor denied and invoked his “right against self-incrimination.”
Meanwhile, SYMS Construction Trading is the contractor of the P55-million reinforced concrete river wall in Barangay Piel, Baliuag, Bulacan, which Marcos described as a ghost project after inspecting it last Aug. 20.
